Another area (one of my favorites) that I checked out yesterday, was Mary Ann Creek Rd. in Okanogan County.
Because of lighting, I opted to start at the west end.
Just past the first house (on the left) there is a small grove of evergreen trees. Just before that, I started seeing some birds flying into those trees.
I stopped and found a loosely connected group of about 20 Pine Grosbeaks.
They appeared to be mostly female or immature birds.
